I’m in a cave within a cave
I dissolve into the darkness
You came into my dream
A sealed stillness
Through the mountain mist
I call call your name
Feel the green blades between my fingers
As i shut out
The weeping face of the world
And your holy words
They’re like water
Like stones in the river bed
They lead me to you
Lost in the music
Of vanishing violins
My mind opens
It’s a place to start
Feel the green blades between my fingers
As i shut out
The weeping face of the world
And your holy words
They’re like water
Like stones in the river bed
They lead me to you
What’s it all about
Whats it all about
Across the ocean
I feel you
And I dream of you
In the weeping face of the world
And your holy words
They’re like water
Like stones in the river bed
They lead me to you
Hold each other close
So i can see you
I can see you
I can see you smile
Hold each other close
Cos i can’t feel you
I can’t touch you
But I can see you
To know that you’re safe
It’s all i need
It’s all i need
about
40 piece orchestra, all real players, composed and arranged by David Baron. Lyrics written by and vocals performed by Donna Lewis
"Feeling isolated but also fortunate to still be able to work from home, it felt good to get lost in the music. David and I were both writing and recording in our own studios and decided to create something beautiful together that we could share with everyone going through these difficult times.
Feeling lucky to be living in the countryside appreciating nature even more helped me shut out the sadness that was happening all over the world even if it was just for a few minutes at a time.
The heart of the song is all about missing my loved ones that are on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. I remember my mother’s words — full of kindness, always hopeful — memories of crossing the beautiful Ogmore river in Wales. Even though I can’t be with my family and hug them, I feel blessed that I can see them and talk to them every day and to know that they’re safe.
I hope this song brings comfort and courage to everyone who is separated from the families they love”

So, here's my thing about this amazing thing. I've listened to every single thing of Amanda's that I could since 2008. So when I say I failed with this album, you'll understand how big that is. When this came out, I thought I'd get around to it later because I knew a bunch of the tracks on it already. I never got around to it. Now, I've heard it, and I'm broken. In the best way. I lost a dear friend this year, and I'm never going to get over it, but this album helps so much. Thank you, Amanda. Delenn
